While he's collecting herbs in the mountains, Sasuke finds a child with golden hair lying unconscious on the ground. Sasuke decides to take the child back home with him where the child introduces himself as Naruto. With no parents and no proper home to survive the next winter that is drawing closer, Sasuke asks Naruto whether he wants to stay with him.
